Day 1: Haridwar/Dehradun – Rishikesh – Barkot
Arrive at Haridwar or Dehradun where our representative greets you and assists with the journey. En route, stop in Rishikesh for Yatra registration. The town, known as the Yoga Capital of the World, is filled with ashrams and temples along the sacred Ganga. After completing formalities, continue your drive to Barkot. The route passes through scenic valleys and charming villages, giving a taste of the Himalayas. On arrival, check into your hotel, relax, and prepare for the sacred adventure. Overnight stay in Barkot.
Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
After an early breakfast, drive to Janakichatti, the base point for Yamunotri. Begin a trek through pine forests and rocky trails, with options for ponies or palanquins. Yamunotri, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, is the source of the holy Yamuna River. Pilgrims take a dip in the hot springs, cook rice in the sacred kund, and offer prayers at the temple. After darshan, return to Barkot, relishing the scenic journey back. Evening at leisure followed by an overnight stay at Barkot.
Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi
After breakfast, drive towards Uttarkashi, often called the “Kashi of the North.” En route, visit Lakhamandal, an archaeological site linked to the Mahabharata. On arrival, check into your hotel and later visit the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the mystical Prakateshwar Cave Temple. Uttarkashi, set on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, is also a hub for mountaineers and spiritual seekers. Spend the evening amidst serene landscapes before retiring for the night in Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
Today’s journey takes you to Gangotri, the sacred origin of the River Ganga. Drive through valleys adorned with deodar trees and gurgling streams. On arrival, take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River before visiting the revered Gangotri Temple, surrounded by snow-clad mountains. Feel the spiritual energy as hymns and bells echo across the valley. After darshan, enjoy some time along the riverbanks, soaking in the tranquility. Return to Uttarkashi in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi/Rampur
After breakfast, proceed towards Guptkashi. The drive is long yet rewarding, with spectacular views of rivers and mountains. En route, visit Tehri Dam and the sacred Dhari Devi Temple. If time permits, explore Guptkashi Temple and Kalimath, both holding deep mythological significance linked with Lord Shiva. On arrival, check into your hotel for rest. Guptkashi is a spiritually significant town where Lord Shiva is believed to have hidden from the Pandavas. Overnight stay at Guptkashi or Rampur.
Day 6: Guptkashi/Rampur – Kedarnath
Early morning, drive to Sonprayag and then to Gaurikund, the base camp for Kedarnath. Begin the 17 km trek (or hire pony/palanquin) through scenic trails. En route, witness cascading waterfalls, glaciers, and meadows. On arrival, check into your guesthouse and later visit Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Nestled against towering Himalayan peaks, the temple’s divine atmosphere is unmatched. Participate in the evening aarti before retiring for the night at Kedarnath.
Day 7: Kedarnath – Guptkashi/Rampur
Wake up early for darshan at Kedarnath Temple before sunrise. The sight of the first rays of the sun illuminating the shrine is unforgettable. After prayers, descend back to Gaurikund and proceed to your hotel in Guptkashi/Rampur. The day is more relaxed, giving you time to recover from the trek. Spend the evening at leisure or explore the nearby surroundings before overnight stay.
Day 8: Guptkashi/Rampur – Chopta
Today, embark on a scenic drive to Chopta, a pristine Himalayan hamlet often called the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.” Surrounded by pine forests, meadows, and snow peaks, Chopta offers breathtaking natural beauty. On arrival, check into your hotel or camp and spend the evening enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Chopta is also the base for the famous Tungnath trek. Overnight stay in Chopta.
Day 9: Chopta – Tungnath & Chandrashila Trek – Chopta/Sari
After breakfast, begin a trek to Tungnath, the world’s highest Shiva temple at 3,680 meters. The trail is scenic, dotted with rhododendrons and mountain views. Continue onward to Chandrashila Peak, offering panoramic vistas of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Trishul peaks. This trek blends spirituality and adventure, making it a highlight of the journey. Descend to Chopta or nearby Sari village for overnight stay.
Day 10: Chopta – Badrinath
After breakfast, drive towards Badrinath, one of the most important Char Dhams dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Day 11: Badrinath – Srinagar
Begin your day with darshan at Badrinath Temple before departure. Drive towards Srinagar, en route witnessing sacred confluences at Nand Prayag, Karan Prayag, Rudra Prayag, and Dev Prayag, where rivers merge in spectacular harmony. These prayags hold immense spiritual significance and are important stops on the Char Dham route. On arrival at Srinagar, check into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Srinagar – Haridwar/Dehradun (Departure)
After breakfast, proceed towards Haridwar/Dehradun. Stop again in Rishikesh to explore Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Witness or participate in the soulful Ganga Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri in Haridwar, marking a beautiful conclusion to your pilgrimage. Later, transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
